Good morning and thank you for a lovely bank holiday newsletter. I love chit chatting with people out and about, we have lovely neighbours who enjoy a catch up and having a dog often means we stop and chat around the village to fellow dog walkers, it does fill your heart and we’ve met some of the nicest people on route.
I can’t tell you how excited I am that you’ve decide to go with banquette style seating in your kitchen Lauren, I have been thinking of this as an option when we redo our kitchen, I love the look so much, I have so many Pinterest inspiration pics, so I honestly cannot wait to see yours come together 🤗. Have a lovely week x
What a lovely newsletter again, Lauren! I love how you share all kinds of snippets of your thoughts in this one.
The patio in the first photo looks spectacular. I always loved the exterior of you guys’ place a lot. I like how it has different sections (if that makes sense) and how the roof’s colours return in the brickwork. But it’s the first time I have noticed the pattern in the brickwork (as you can see on the left of the photo). How beautiful!
I totally understand yours and Jacks POV about the kitchen. I think a kitchen banquettes is exactly the thing to give it that warmth, texture and colour! I must admit I have always had a soft spot for them, my Pinterest “Interior DIY” is filled with them! With all kinds of possible fabrics on it, a plain one with printed cushions, no cushions, ribbons, no bows, buttons in the same fabric as the base (did this in the past with a tutorial in an vintage Laura Ashley book) etc. I think they are so cosy, and how nice that Jack can make it. Looking forward to seeing the end results and the fabric you’ll choose for it.
Ps: I had to chuckle when I read the annual duck race 😂🦆 haha!

Haha I read the rest of the comments after writing mine and I see that I wrote exactly the same about the banquette and my Pinterest bord! 😂
I loved reading this! Always a nice read in my inbox ❤️
Love to read your newsletters Lauren. They’re so wholesome and warming 🤍🌟
