I love love love this post, Lauren. It’s taken me a long time to appreciate the value in romanticizing my life and loving the little moments. You’re so right about how much being organized and intentional creates such satisfaction.

I think I’ve mentioned we’re building a country home and creating beautiful ways to organize is top of mind for me right now. I love all your inspo shots. Very inspiring.

Oh thank you Tish! It almost instills this 'empty mind' feeling for me and all the noise just disappears - almost like therapy!

Yes you did mention, how is it all going with the house? Ahhh I love that fresh space feeling, putting all your lovely belongings away neat and tidy. x

Really really loved this post, living a life more aligned with the Nancy Meyers aesthetic is something I’m consciously trying to curate for myself, not just because I love the way it looks but because I love the way it makes me feel. I already look forward to introducing your tips into my routines! x

I'm aaall about romanticising the everyday mundane, so I loved this post!

Some of the things that I never compromise on are, not saving things for best and lighting the luxury candles on cosy Monday afternoons, making a proper ritual out of cooking lunch and dinners, folding away my laundry Marie Kondo style, doing just one task at a time to stay present, and a morning matcha on the garden stoop listening to the birds.

Oh yay I love that, thank you so much Michelle! Oooh yes I love the point about Marie Kondo style folding, it really is so satisfying opening drawers and all your clothes being perfect. A moment where you really thank past you. Have a lovely week! x

A gorgeous read. I’ve implemented the evening turndown service into my nightly routine, ever since I saw you do it in one of your vlogs and thought “how lovely, I want that” 😄, now I have it and it does feel like such a treat and takes no time to do. I like working in a tidy, nicely scented environment, always have a candle burning and a drink on the go, it really does help me think more clearly and stay organised. Im A big fan of lamps (possible small addiction to buying them) and not using the big light, lamp light is just so calming💡.

Thank you for all of the great suggestions, definitely some others I’d like to include in my daily routine. Have a fabulous week Lauren ♥️x

Hi Julie, I absolutely love everything you have said. It really is exactly that, small moments in the day that feel like little luxuries that take minimal effort. Totally agree with the lamps, the big light is a serious no from me hehe. Thank you for your lovely comment and speak to you soon! 🤍

I read this in my "First hour of the morning". When nobody is up except me and my two dogs. It is my favourite time. I eat breakfast quietly with a chamomile tea, listen to the birds, put a load of washing on, make my coffee, it's bliss! x

Drywall and first coat of paint is done, doors and trim go in tomorrow and hardwood floors (a blond beige tone) go in on Monday. What is complete is the stone fireplace! I’m not sure if photos are posts or here—if so, I’d love to share and get the group’s advice when we’re further along.
