Good Morning my lovely Season’s reader.
I hope you are revelling in the picturesque start to September we have been blessed with here in England. There really is nothing better than waking up to crisp temperatures, golden sun and blue skies as the anticipation of Autumn rolls in.
I am very much governed by nature when it comes to the seasons and I let mother nature herself rule my everyday. From the recipes I make, the outfits I choose to wear and how I decorate the house. I always feel a sense of rush around September with so much ahead. The busiest months in front of me, it feels as though I must throw myself into everything all at once. But this year I have decided to consciously do things differently. Adopting more intention. Taking the time to sit back and evaluate where I want to apply myself. What am I spending the most time on, is that aiding or hindering me. Living within the present and removing the sense of worry attached to the future is pushing me so much in my everyday life. My mind feels calmer, I can focus so much more on the task at hand, as a pose to wandering off into the depths of my mind thinking about plans for months down the line. It feels refreshing to almost hit the reset button and approach things in a different way.
I was chatting with my mum this week about the business side of my platforms, we were discussing the content I have been planning to create this quarter and elements to my brand that I want to improve and push. It made me realise that ever since I have started to live through the seasons and really delve deep within myself to find out what I really, truly enjoy, I have never felt more peace. I’m not just talking within work but what I want to wear, how I want to live my everyday, who I spend time with and all the little mundane things that make up our lives. It sounds silly, but we only live one life, it feels so important to fill that with the wonderful and wild things that bring us joy.
Without sounding too ‘motiviational-speaker-ted-talk’ isn’t it crazy that we really are the key to living how we want to live. Our mind is often the barrier that withholds us from reaching the things we envision for ourselves.
Let this be your sign, with the new season ahead of us, relinquish the fear and do the things you truly want to do, however big or small that may be.
Anyways, I have totally gone on a tangent. Let’s bring it back to the title of this entry ‘Things I Find Incredibly Chic’ Inspired by a ‘list’ floating around my social channels that reminded me so much of my childhood mind. I remember gazing adoringly at my own mum, her friends and other women out and about that just oozed this put together, chic air and as I got older I felt a pang of longing that I couldn’t wait to be older and be able to dress like them. It’s such a niche but nostalgic thing to notice small details and of course, I wanted to put together my own. I would love to hear yours to so please pop them in the comments.

A Note To The Season’s Community.
As you know I adore this newsletter. Season’s has become so much more than just a weekly email filled with thoughts. It has become such a wonderful place of community. Something I am so grateful for. Especially to you, for throwing yourself into it. The group chat and my direct messages have become a place of joy and acceptance.
I mentioned in an entry a few weeks ago that I would be starting a new branch of the Season’s tree, which will introduce a paid subscriber option. Now don’t worry, all of my wonderful readers that do not want to be involved with any payment, you will still receive my Monday 6am entries as usual (nothing will change there). However I want to give you more and in doing so it needs to become an integrated part of my business.
By subscribing to the community you can expect to receive further newsletters each week, which will vary from personal topics, answering your own questions in depth, whether that is interior related (I would love to put my course knowledge to good use and help you!) styling or a life dilemma. I will bring you exclusive interviews with some of my favourite women in the industry, adopting a similar way of life to me ( a part that I am so excited about!) Sharing conversations of their own slow living tales and elements to their own personal lives. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with a seasonal book club (I am unsure how regularly to host this so I think we will see how it goes) hosted by me via a zoom link at the end of each month. A safe place for us to discuss the book of the month and interact in a much more personable way.
I will definitely be thinking of more elements to introduce to this but it will be a new level of interaction. Much like a magazine brings you inspiration, tips, guides and so much more.
I can’t wait to chat to you in our first Season’s Exclusive entry on Thursday this week.
Thank you again, seriously. From the bottom of my heart.

Love this list Lauren, you’ve inspired me to think and curate my own.
How exciting that you’re branching out and releasing a paid subscription for your newsletter, I am only happy to support and have signed up. Congratulations on the launch! x
